The
impressive Godolphin Mile winner, Grand Emporium has been bought by
Godolphin. No immediate plans have been made for the four year old, who
beat Godolphin owned Qais in the Mile. Successful
in the first round of the Maktoum Challenge, his penultimate run saw him
run second, giving World Cup fourth, Jack Sullivan four pounds. Grand
Emporium won the Daily News and the first leg of the Triple Crown in South
Africa. The
UAE Derby winner, Blues and Royals, is being aimed at the Kentucky Derby.
The son of Honour and Glory bids to improve on his half brother
Limehouse’s fourth place to Smarty Jones last year. More news from abroad is that former Cape Fillies Guineas winner, Perfect Promise, ran 5th in the recent Gr1 Queen of the Turf St at Rosehill in Australia. The daughter of Caesour was not disgrased when beaten just over 2˝ lenghts by the winner Ike's Dream and just over a 1˝ lengths by Danni Martine. The latter was a convincing winner of the Coolmore Classic at Rosehill. Perfect Promise has yet to win in Australia, but on this evidence, she should be able to pick up a decent race. |
