COMING TO MET

Godolphin horses, Vespone, Naheef and Sights on Gold will not be coming for the Met as a result of being unable to fulfill the quarantine protocol. This robs the Met of a spectacle with the likes of Dynasty and Yard-Arm taking on multiple Group winners. They have mentioned coming to next year’s running of the Met.

Godolphin have enjoyed global success and enjoyed their 100 Group/Grade 1 success last year with Sulamani’s controversial Arlington Million win. They have yet, however to win a race on the African continent and the Met raid was to be their first attempt.

Godolphin recently purchased Crimson Palace for an undisclosed amount. The Elliodor filly was an impressive winner of her first start in Dubai following a South African campaign which saw her capture the Paddock Stakes.

She now goes to Saeed bin Suroor and may follow in Ipi Tombe’s hoofprints by taking her place in the Dubai Duty Free Stakes.
