Ipi Tombe, newly anointed UAE Horse of the Year, will not be going to Storm Cat next year but Sadler’s Wells instead. Reasons for changing the mating come from too close inbreeding to Storm Bird via Indian Skimmer and Storm Cat.

Twice beaten in her 14 race career, Ipi Tombe was also a champion in South Africa following a sparkling win in the July over subsequent Met winner, Angus. Plans call for the filly to be sold in next year’s Keeneland November Mixed Sale.

Sadler’s Wells has wrapped his 13 sires championship in England, leading by over a million pounds. It is his 11 consecutive championship and the sire of 61 Group/Grade 1 winners stands for a private fee.
