KWAZULA-NATAL RACING AWARDS 26 August 2005 |

Trainer Brett Crawford's Reveille Boy, winner of the Astrapak
2000 and fourth in the Vodacom Durban July, was crowned Horse
of the Year at the annual KwaZulu-Natal Racing Awards dinner held
at Greyville Racecourse last night.
With over 250 people in attendance, the KwaZulu-Natal-trained thoroughbred champions of the 2004/2005 racing season were honoured for their performances and achievements.
It was also the occasion where the top trainer and jockey by wins in the province were honoured, those honours going to Dennis Drier and jockey Robbie Hill respectively.
Other awards bestowed on the evening were:
Champion apprentice: Sean Veale Breeder of the Year: Summerhill Stud Anita Akal Special Award: Bill Lambert Groom of the Year: Sam Dumani (Reveille Boy), and Owner of the Year: Mrs Sabine Plattner Training Achievement Award: Dave Goss
