Six time Group/ Grade One winner, Sulamani has been retired to Dalham Hall. He will stand for 7,000 pounds.

Sulamani was unraced at two.

He was a top class three year old who became the only horse to beat Act, when winning the French Derby.

He won the Prix Niel before running second to Marienbard in the Arc, beating High Chaparral into third.

Purchased from the Niarchos family by Godolphin, he made his first start in blue in Dubai World Cup night.

His four year old campaign was highlighted by wins in the Dubai Sheema Classic, Turf Classic and a win via disqualification in the Arlington Million. He was second in the King George-to Alamshar.

Disappointing in the Breeders Cup Turf, when six lengths off High Chaparral, he was also fourth in the Grand Prix de Saint Cloud.

Sulamani began his five year old career with defeats in the Prince of Wales, Princess of Wales and a three length drubbing by Doyen in the King George.

He then beat another previously unbeaten colt in Bago when winning the Juddmonte International. The latter came back to win the Arc.

He retires on a winning note, having won the Canadian International, showing his customary fine turn of foot.

He won nine of 17 starts and over $5 million. A son of Frenchy Derby winner, Hernando, his half brother, Dream Well, won both the French and Irish Derbies in 1998.
