Result - National Day Cup

Former July winner, Trademark ran third on his first start in Dubai. The six year old ran a creditable race behind the smart Royal Tryst in the National Day Cup. 

Royal Tryst, fifth in this year’s Dubai World Cup, won by two and a quarter lengths from Calcutta. Calcutta finished 1.5 lengths ahead of Trademark in the level weights race. Trademark, who was held up in the race, flew up late.

Ridden by UAE champion jockey, Ted Durcan, Trademark won 20,000 dirhams for his effort in the one mile race. A multiple Grade 1 winner in South Africa, Trademark was champion older male two seasons ago after winning the July and finishing second to his then stablemate Bunter Barlow in the Met.
