Ken Truter, the first Chairman of the Western Cape Chapter under the banner of Gold Circle, stood down as Chairman in November last year. After being involved in the Chapter’s affairs and racing in the Western Cape since 1993, he resigned his position in April 2005.

Peter Mills has been co-opted to Gold Circle’s Western Cape Chapter, as a Steward replacing Ken. Peter previously served on the Western Cape Board as Chairman of the Cape Breeders Club.

Although Ken has resigned his interests in racing from an administration point of view, he remains a loyal patron of racing in the Western Cape and will concentrate his efforts on his stud farm High Season, situated in Hermanus.
