Former July winner, Greys Inn, has been given 56.5 kgs to shoulder in the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups. He is set to carry 58 kgs in the Cox Plate.
The Caulfield Cup, used as a prep for the race which stops a nation, will be run over a mile and a half on October 15th. Cherry Mix (2nd in last year's Arc) and Norse Dancer (King George runner up) top the weights. Both are looking for their first group one success.

There are no less than 151 acceptances for the Melbourne Cup. The race will be run on the 1st of November over two miles.
As usual the race has attracted a number of top horses from all over the globe. Despite champion Kitten's Joy's non appearance, the locals are not going to have things all their own way. Champion stayer Westerner and Distinction, 1-2 in the Ascot Gold Cup, are amongst the entries. Four time Irish St Leger winner, Vinnie Roe, bids to end his career on a high-note, having been twice placed in this race. New Zealand Horse of the Year Xcellent, Coronation Cup hero Yeats, champion Plastered and top class fillies Dizelle and Hollow Bullet are also nominated.

The w-f-a Cox Plate has also attracted a strong field. To be run over ten furlongs at Moonee Valley, the likes of Mullins Bay, Ace and Norse Dancer represent international interest whilst the local possibilities include top class three-year-olds Stratum and Carry on Cutie. Dual Melbourne Cup winner Makybe Diva has been nominated to all three races.
Former SA top fillies Perfect Promise and Battle Maiden are also nominees for the Cox Plate.
