Mike de Kock has nomintated his exciting colt, Becrux to the North AmericanTriple Crown.
The colt, disappointing in his last start, is also nominated for the UAE 2000 Guineas to be run on Thursday.

The first stage for nominations to the Triple Crown closed on 22 January. Triple Crown Productions listed 357 horses as being nominated for the three race series. Late nominations close on 26 March.

Notable horses nominated include both two year old champions-Declan's Moon and the impressive filly, Sweet Catomine. Others to watch include Breeders Cup winner Wilko, unbeaten Rockport Harbor, the UK champion Shamardal and Horse Chestnut's fine son, Spanish Chestnut.

Sons of young SA sires, Second Empire and Kabool, have also been nominated for the series. Champion Silverbulletday's first son, by A.P. Indy, named Tice is also nominated. Sadly the much vaunted Fusaichi Samurai has been withdrawn and will not compete in the Triple Crown.

The Triple Crown, so nearly won last year by Smarty Jones, was last won by Affirmed in 1978.
