Few stallions have enjoyed such a meteoric rise to stardom as Distorted Humor. From beginning his stud fee at just $12,500 in 1999, Distorted Humor now commands a fee of 18 times that much thanks to his outstanding success at stud.

A son of champion two-year-old and leading sire Forty Niner, Distorted Humor is out of the Gr2 Danzig mare, Danzig's Beauty. Both his first and second dams were good racemares, with his dam running second in the Gr1 Acorn Stakes, and granddam ,Sweetest Chant, won 12 races including a pair of graded races.
Distorted Humor himself was a good, but not great racehorse. Winner of eight races, the highlight of his career came when successful in the Gr2 Commonwealth Breeders Cup Stakes, run over seven furlongs. He also ran third in the Gr1 Cigar Mile, defeating Coronado's Quest, and was touched off in the Gr3 Fayette Stakes.
Distorted Humor's first crop produced 12 stakes winners. They included the much loved champion Funny Cide, and Gr1 winning two-year-old Awesome Humor. The subsequent crop produced another 12 stakes winners, including brilliant Whitney Handicap hero Commentator (whose career has been interrupted by injury) and Gr1 winner Fourty Niners Son. His third crop produced the top notch galloper Flower Alley, and the following year he produced Florida Derby runner up Sharp Humor.

A powerful chestnut, Distorted Humor has been described as a good natured horse. A relatively young horse, he is 14, Distorted Humor is a stallion who promises to add to his ever growing list of successes. One of Distorted Humor's most impressive achievements is his ability to upgrade his mares. Off a CI of just 1.76 Distorted Humor's AEI is 2.61. He achieved his highest position on the general sires list in 2005 when finishing second. He is the sire of 11% stakes winners to foals.
