On Saturday 4 May at the Champ de Mars racecourse in Port Louis, the 4 y-o Dominion Royale gelding, Royal Deed, from Philippe Henry stable won by four lengths the Le Point Office stationery Duchess Of York Cup( Listed Race), from start to finish. Royal Deed, the hot favorite 9-4, made it all under the expert ride from Jeffrey LLoyd. Royal Deed ran the 1400m in 1m25,80 on soft going. Muddy Knees(Rawa),11-1) finished second almost one length ahead of Lucky Bach(Joorawon) (11-1).Tropical Land( Rajendra) (4-1) completed he quartet. Muddy Knees and Tropical Land are from the Gujadhur stable, the oldest of the local turf.
Jeffrey LLoyd led Go Wild to his first win
of his Mauritian career from start to finish in the second race of the meeting
and came from last on Master Jack to win convincingly in the eight
last race of the fisrt meeting of the season.
