16 February 2006

Carnival time returns to Clairwood Racecourse in Durban with the staging of the annual Rising Sun Gold Circle Racing Carnival featuring the R100 000, Listed Rising Sun Easter Handicap over 2 000 metres on April 15.

The race has a long history of exciting clashes and for the third year the Rising Sun media organisation will join forces with Gold Circle to stage the meeting and provide an entertaining day out for the whole family at the picturesque southern Durban venue.

With live entertainment interspersed between the races, patrons can also browse among the many flea market and food stalls which will offer everything from toys to clothing and a variety of tasty snacks to cater for all palates.

For the motor enthusiast a whole fleet of exotic vehicles will be on display featuring cars from as far back as 1929. Rumour has it that among them will be a very special import that once belonged to a very special person.

The entertainment for the day runs from 10am until dark and a Bhangra Bash will be held straight after the running of the last race of the day.
