HORSE CHESTNUT 1995 (SAF)(by Fort Wood) has 
officially been retired after injuring his left 
foreleg while training on Saturday, 22 January,
and will be sent to stud according to trainer Michael de Kock. 

"He's too nice a horse to take any chances with," 
de Kock said . 

Horse Chestnut suffered a fracture of the lateral 
splint bone and suspensory damage to the ligament 
of his left foreleg during a morning workout on 
Saturday, January 22.
