IPI TOMBE INJURED

Ipi Tombe, who was being aimed at the Diana Handicap (Gr1), will miss the race. The daughter of Manshood suffered a minor leg injury when “rapping” her leg during a workout.

Trainer Elliot Walden was quoted as saying the mare is back in training but could not work her the way he hoped to.

Ipi Tombe, on an eight race win streak, will now be aimed at the Beverly D Stakes on Arlington Million day.

The mare, who has now won over 1.5 million dollars, will probably hook up with Eclipse Champion, Golden Apples, in the Beverly D.
