THE CHEVELEY PARK STAKES OF 2005

Despite Flashy Wings losing her unbeaten record last time out, she stands out in this 10 horse race.
The race will be run at Newmarket on Thursday, 3.10 SA time.

BEAUTY BRIGHT: The best bred filly in the race-and one of the best in training. She was well held by Flashy Wings when third to that filly in the Lowther Stakes (Gp2). She has won one of three for Ballydoyle. A daughter of Danehill, her dam won the King George Stakes (Gp3) and is out of an own sister to champion Chimes of Freedom.

DIZZY DREAMER: Unplaced at her last two starts. She won her debut well enough but needs to improve drastically on her last two efforts. Out of a half sister to Vinnie Roe, she is a daughter of Spinning World.

DONNA BLINI: She has not been seen out since causing an upset in the Cherry Hinton Stakes (Gp2)-where she beat Fillies Mile winner Nannina into fifth place. However of the three fillies who followed her home none have won since. Her trainer, Brian Meehan, caused a huge upset in this race with Magical Romance last year and this filly has better form than Magical Romance did.
A daughter of Bertolini, she has won two of three starts.

FLASHY WINGS: Not disgraced when second in the Watership Down Stud Sales race. She was touched off by Expensive, giving the winner four pounds, and was in front too early. Despite this setback she remains the favourite for next year's 1000 Guineas but needs to win here retain favouritism.
Flashy Wings looked outstanding when winning both the Queen Mary and Lowther Stakes. She has won four of five for Mick Channon.

MIXED BLESSING: The most experienced filly in the race. She impressed when winning the Princess Margaret Stakes (Gp3) over stakes winner Nidhaal and Nannina. Nannina then beat Mixed Blessing by just over two lengths, albeit getting five pounds. Mixed Blessing, a daughter of Lujain, was most disappointing next time out and needs to improve to feature here. She is from the family of outstanding broodmare Lorehana.

MODEEROCH: She ran second to Rumplestiltskin, beaten two lengths, last time out. She won her first two starts, including the Tyros Stakes. She is by the ill fated Mozart, who is showing great promise as a stallion, from the family of Ma Biche.

NIDHAAL: Another by a promising first season sire in Observatory. She has won two of three starts including a Listed race last time out. Her only defeat came at Newbury when second to Mixed Blessing. She is from the family of Rabah and Last Tycoon.

RIOTOUS APPLAUSE: Has made just two starts and was impressive at her last start when winning by five lengths. The second home was well beaten next time out and the form doesn't look great. She needs to improve but may have scope. A daughter of Royal Applause-sire of Expensive- she is out of a half sister to Goldkeeper.

SWEET AFTON: Unplaced at her last start, behind Nidhaal. She is held on her third place behind Modeeroch. She was second in a listed behind Strut and fifth behind Mixed Blessing.

WAKE UP MAGGIE: Won the rich Tattersalls Sale Stakes in Ireland last time out-beating Cool Creek. The latter landed the Mill Reef Stakes (Gp2) while the third home, Ugo Fire, was second in the Moyglare Stud Stakes to Rumplestiltskin. Her sole defeat in three starts came to Godfrey Street-who landed the Flying Childers Stakes (Gp2).
