Red Ransom's good spell in the Southern Hemisphere continued when his daughter topped the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale. The son of Roberto had a good weekend with his up and coming daughter, Halibery, confirming herself as one of the best two year olds in Australia by winning the Blue Diamond Prelude.

This was followed by a filly out of Calemeo topping the sale at AUS$260,000. She is a half sister to Lady Of The Pines, winner of the VATC Guineas. The filly was purchased by David Lamond.

Red Ransom is a proven sire of top fillies being represented by the likes of Champion Perfect Sting, Grade 1 heroine Bail Out Becky and the smart Pico Tenerife, Shining Hour and Cassis.

A full brother to Grade 1 winner Rubitano was the second highest priced lot. The colt was sold for AUS$230,000. A son of Champion Rubiton and Mrs Soffel, the colt was purchased by Teeley Assets Ltd. 

Overall 11 yearlings were sold for over AUS$100,000. Colts by Gilded Time and Encosta de Lago were sold for $160,000 and $150,000 respectively.
