The beautifully bred Right Approach retires to Wilgerbosdrift for the 2006/07 breeding season. The son of Machiavellian was being aimed at the Dubai Carnival but a training setback caused connections to retire the seven year old. Right Approach won four races, including three stakes races. He impressed all when winning on debut as a two-year-old over a field which included subsequent dual Gp1 winner Mamool.

The joint top rated miler in Dubai two years ago, Right Approach’s biggest win came in a dead heat with Paolini in the Dubai Duty Free (Gr1) in 2004. He was third in the same race last year.

Regarded as a classic prospect as a three-year-old, injury prevented him from fulfilling these expectations. He won a stakes race and was third, later promoted to second, in the prestigious Queen Anne Stakes (Gr1) behind Dubai Destination. He also ran third in the QEII Cup and fourth in the Singapore International Cup.

A son of Machiavellian, sire of leading young sire Medicean, Right Approach has one of the strongest female lines in the stud book. Like useful young sire Lujain he is out of a Shadeed mare. Right Approach is a descendant of Highlight-the ancestress of Nashwan, Highclere ,top sire Unfuwain and champion Japanese performer Deep Impact.

This is also the family of leading sires Tale of the Cat and Pulpit as well as the mighty Round Table.
