Jarred Samuel retains a narrow lead going into the final leg of the SA Apprentice Challenge series of races with just one race to go.
Samuel has garnered 24 points from a win, two seconds and a fifth placing and is four points clear of Lucien Africa who has made a late dash, winning the last two legs of the Challenge.
But with 10 points on offer for a win, six for second and four for third, the competition is still wide open with any of Timothy Pretorious (19), Kegan Latham (17) and last season's champion apprentice Gavin Lerena on 15 all still in the race.
The final leg of the Challenge will be run at Turffontein Racecourse on November 25.
