Maine Chance's shuttle sire, Silvano, had a big day on Saturday with Sabiango, his half brother, running out an impressive winner of the Grade One Charles Whittingham Memorial Handicap.

Sabiango, already a dual Group One winner, was the second major winner for his sire, recently retired, Acatenango. Blue Canari won the French Derby for Acatenango a week earlier.

Sabiango won the ten furlong race by three parts of a length at 13-1. The entire is now trained by Bob Baffert. Now a six year old, he is owned by Monty Roberts. He beat a solid field which included the classic winning filly Musical Chimes and Hollywood Turf Cup winner Continuously.
