The top 50 second sires list for Europe is headed by Cape Cross. Ouija Board's sire has had his fee increased to 50,000 euros for this breeding season.
He stands at Kildangan Stud in Ireland. He leads Orpen by nearly 4,000 pounds.

Orpen also had a classic winner from his first crop in Torrestrella. The son of Lure, who suffers from none of the fertility problems which troubled his sire, is second on the list. He also had Gracefully, winner of the Prestige Stakes.
He hails from the sire producing family of Northern Dancer, Machiavellian and Danehill.
Orpen stands for 8,000 in Ireland.

He is followed by Daylami - sire of Irish Derby winner Grey Swallow and promising Bull Run - is third on the list. Tante Rose's stakes winning half sister, Bay Tree, is another of his first crop to hit the mark.
He stands at Gillstown Stud alongside his half brother Dalakhani.

Recently imported Second Empire is eleventh on the list, ahead of former champion freshman sire, Stravinsky, Sunline's sire Desert Sun and Verglas.
The latter was represented by turf sensation Blackdoun in his first crop.

Former South African champion, Horse Chestnut, languishes in 29th place.
