SPOOK EXPRESS DISAPPOINTS

South Africa's Champion 3-Y-O filly of last season, Spook Express finished a disappointing 6th in the Just A Game Breeders Cup Handicap on Saturday 5 June at Belmont Park.

Having won the Columbiana Handicap in brilliant style on her North American debut, Spook Express was expected to run a big race in the Gr 3 race run on Belmont Stakes day.

The race was won by Cozy Blues who had finished 4th behind Spook Express in the Columbiana Handicap.

Tom Skiffington, trainer of Spook Express had expressed concern prior to the event that Spook Express' coat was going off and she appeared to be having problems acclimatizing.
