SECOND STAKES WIN FOR EMPIRE

Another Stakes-winner for Second Empire Baden-Baden, Sunday 9 Sept 2004: Richard Kaselowsky Memorial, L winner by 2 lengths: 2 year old filly Novarra, by Second Empire.

Freedom, a daughter of Second Empire, won the Listed Preis des Casino Baden Baden two weeks ago. The mile event, run at Baden-Baden, was the second stakes win for the three year old filly. Freedom also ran fourth in the German 1000 Guineas.

She is out of the Ninski mare, Flamanda.

Second Empire, champion at two, has arrived at Oaklands. His fee is R30 000. A son of Fairy King, he is a close relation of one of this season's most exciting two year olds, Belenus.
