Storm Cat's title of the most commercially attractive stallion in the world was confirmed at Keeneland yesterday. Day one saw no less than seven sons/ daughters of the Overbrook legend sell for a million plus. The top five lots on day were all by Storm Cat and all were sold for over $3 million.
Some of the prices bordered on the absurd to say the least.

Day two saw the sale topper in the form of a $9.7 million yearling by Storm Cat out of Tranquility Lake. The latter, a multiple grade one winner, is by Rahy whose daughters have done so well with Storm Cat. John Ferguson signed for the brown colt.

The second top priced yearling on the day was also a son of Storm Cat. Out of Kentucky Oaks winner Secret Status, the colt was also purchased by John Ferguson. The chestnut cost a cool $6.3 million.

The most expensive filly, also by Storm Cat, is out of high-class mare Warrior Queen. She sold for $3.9 million.
The latter, a daughter of Quiet American, is a half sister to the exciting two-year-old A.P. Warrior.
For South African interests, a three parts brother to Lammerskraal's Pulpit filly sold for $2.5 million. The filly, a daughter of champion sire A.p. Indy, is also a half brother to grade one winner Snow Ridge (Tabasco Cat).
