VINNIE ROE TO COOLMORE

Vinnie Roe has been purchased by Coolmore Stud as a NH sire.
He makes his last start in November's Melbourne Cup.

The son of Definite Article has won the Irish St Leger (Gp1) a record four consecutive times. He has also won the Prix Royal Oak (Gp1) and been runner up in both the Melbourne Cup (Gp1) and Ascot Gold Cup (Gp1).

Trained by Dermot Weld, Vinnie Roe has won just once this year but was not disgraced in his three defeats. He is joint top-weight for the Melbourne Cup, which will be run on November 1st, along with dual winner Makybe Diva.

The seven-year-old is out of Tap On Wood mare, Kayu. He has won 12 times to date.
