Bongard Stakes by 5 3/4 lengths and $100,00 Sleepy Hollow Stakes on New York Showcase Day (October 21). Bred by Dr. David Doane, Harry Landry, and Dr. Michael Scotti Jr., Le Grande Danseur was a $35,000 purchase at the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's March sale of two-year-olds last year who earned $134,010 while racing from late August through Showcase Day. Dominic Gaulluscio trains the son of Citidancer - Grand Marais, by Mr. Justice. Also undefeated among New York-bred two-year-old males last year was two-for-two Pepper Blues, owned by Paula Tompkins and Myreen Loveless and bred by the Billings Partnership. |
