Cadeaux Genereux
CADEAUX GENEREUX RETIRES Top British sire, Cadeaux Genereux has been retired from stud. He is 25. A handsome chestnut, Cadeaux Genereux was top-class sprinter. He won seven races including the July Cup, where he beat subsequent champion sire Danehill into third place. His other wins included scores in the Nunthorpe Stakes, Criterium Stakes and Diadem Stakes. Cadeaux Genereux won or placed in 11 of his 15 starts before retiring to stud. Cadeaux Genereux was one of the last remaining male descendants of Hyperion standing at stud. Cadeaux Genereux has sired over 60 stakes winners to date. His Gr1 winners include Bahamian Bounty (Middle Park Stakes), May Ball (Prix Maurice de Gheest), Bijou D’Inde (St James Palace Stakes), Toylsome (Prix de la Foret), Embassy (Chevely Park Stakes) and Touch of the Blues (Atto Mile). He is the sire of 26 individual group/graded stakes winners. His son Bahamian Bounty is the sire of promising young sire Pastoral Pursuits. Cadeaux Genereux is also a top broodmare sire, with his daughters having produced the likes of Gp1 winners Rajeem (Falmouth Stakes) and Notnowcato (Juddmonte International).
