South Africa lost one of its most beloved equine champions with the recent passing of Triple Horse Of The Year Pocket Power.The big hearted gelding passed away in his paddock, one day before what would have been his 19th birthday.
The
son of Jet Master and Stormsvlei won 20 races during his remarkable
career, with Pocket Power capturing the G1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate four
times and the G1 J&B Met on three occasions.The brother
to Met winner River Jetez also forced a dead-heat for first, with
Dancer’s Daughter, in the 2008 G1 Vodacom Durban July.
Pocket Power won 20 races and earned over R9.95 million in earnings.
He will forever be remembered by his many fans!
