20 Jul 2022 17:42

After issues loading at the starting gate, Musicmansandy ran smoothly to cross the wire first in a five-furlong maiden weight special race June 22 at Delaware Park, breaking her maiden on first asking and handing Accelerate his first winner.
Musicmansandy is the first runner of Accelerate’s first crop of 2-year-olds to find success on the track.

Bred in Kentucky by Frank DeSavino, Musicmansandy is out of the Vindication mare Full Moon Frolic who has four winners out of six foals to race. She has a yearling Hard Spun colt and a 2022 Outwork filly.

Accelerate, a 9-year-old son of Lookin At Lucky , was bred in Kentucky by Mike Abraham. His record was 10-5-6 out of 23 starts, including first-place finishes in the 2018 $1 Million TVG Pacific Classic Stakes (G1), Santa Anita Handicap Presented by San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino (G1), and the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) with $6,692,480 in earnings.

He stood the 2022 season at Lane’s End in Versailles, Ky., for $15,000.
