FIRST WINNER FOR POSTPONED

21 Jun 2021 11:06

Four-time G1 winner Postponed sired his first winner on Sunday, 20 June when his daughter Almohandesah was victorious at Pontefract. Making her second career start after a promising debut second, she tracked the leaders before finding a seam in the straight, battling gamely to record a head triumph.

Bred by Flyingbolt Bloodstock, Almohandesah is a daughter of the Exceed And Excel mare Chocolate Hills.

The winner of the G1 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes as a four-year-old, Postponed carried all before him at the age of five. After winning the G1 Dubai Sheema Classic at Meydan, he was victorious in both the G1 Coronation Cup and G1 Juddmonte International before gaining European Champion honours. Rated 130 by Timeform, Almohandesah is one of only two runners so far for Postponed-one of more than 40 G1 winners sired by outstanding sire Dubawi.
