Veteran owner- trainer Bill Prestage has died. The trainer was recently hospitalised and sadly passed away yesterday morning.Bill Prestage took over the reins from his father who passed in 1978.In about 1994 he stopped training for seven years because of commitments to his business and then started up again in 2001.He enjoyed notable success with the likes of Red Peril and Milton, with the former landing Listed Settlers Trophy at Durbanville and just months later the Prestage trained Milton pulled off a giantkilling act when landing the Gr2 Premier Trophy at Kenilworth.
Our condolences go out to the Prestage family at this sad time.
